Volunteer
Volunteering for GCWIN is a fun way to help support environmental conservation in your own community. Whether you are a water professional, want to learn more about environmental issues, or just love our rivers, streams and lake - We welcome you to volunteer and keep our watershed healthy!
Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Three Lakes Clarity Monitoring Program: Volunteers are needed for the 2013 ice-off to ice-on season to monitor Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, and Granby Reservoir.
Volunteers are required to be trained, are provided equipment and are asked to monitor their sites on a weekly to bi-weekly basis for the season.
While access to a boat is preferred, it is not always a requirement so please contact us if you are interested in helping in 2013.
Healthy Headwaters Sampling: Every third Thursday of each month we collect water samples for the EPA at 8 sites located throughout Grand County.
A volunteer is needed to assist GCWIN and EPA staff in gathering samples and collecting water quality data.
Education Programs: Volunteers are always welcome at our educational events. Find out more here.
National Atmospheric Deposition Program: Volunteers are needed year round to assist with NADP each Tuesday at the West entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Rotation of Tuesdays will depend on the number of volunteers.
