Elementary Field Trips

Every spring and fall, GCWIN partners with 7 other local entities to bring all East and West Grand second and fifth graders to Grand Lake for a well-rounded environmental education day.

Point Park Day

Grand County second graders gather at Point Park in Grand Lake for a fun day including canoeing and fishing, learning outdoor survival skills, and learning about their environment and how to take care of it.

Monarch Lake Day

Grand County fifth graders gather at Monarch Lake near Lake Granby to learn about their watershed and environment, and how they are related to it. This day includes lessons on water quality, outdoor survival, fire prevention, etc. and includes fun activities like canoeing.

Thank you to these exceptional groups that helped make this happen!
